I retired from my job as a fundraiser for the British Red Cross in March. I certainly don't miss the job although I do miss my work colleagues but we meet up each month to catch up with each other's news. It's so lovely having no time restraints when I'm out in my garden. It's never had so much attention and I've never been so tanned and fit! My other main hobby is photography and I belong to two clubs and occasionally judge competitions.
I'm very married (38 years to the same brilliant man) and have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Our family is very close and I get to see my lovely grandchildren often and love being involved in their lives. Not interfering, just being there for them. They keep me and my outlook on life young.
I'm off to Canada in two weeks time for a holiday and really looking forward it - I hope to take some pictures while there which I'll share with you when I return.
